-Family: Hydrocharitaceae.


-Common name: Amazon frogbit.

-Origin: Central America and South America.


-Description: Leaves in forms of heart and that estan linked to each other for small stems. His leaves are alike a spoon and are provided with a spongy fabric that works as a float. It has long hanging roots that serve to give a good hiding place for the fish.


-Size: Up to 2 inches of width.

-Reproduction: In the end of every estolón a new plant develops and this way shortly time they achieve the coverage of extensive areas of the surface.

-Ph: 4.5 - 9.0.

-Temperature: 60º to 120º F.

-Subscriber: A rich subscriber needs in iron, nitrates and fosfatos.

-Lighting: From light of average intensity to a light of high intensity.

Thank you Saca, I think I will buy this off of the link I posted in the other thread on ebay.
Hopefully with the extra cover and places away from the light the long nose elephant fish will come out of hiding more often!

It is a lovely plant and I kind of like the idea of heart shaped leaves. I love the anubias for that reason.
