Lightbulb Lizard cage
When my children were small, as kids will do my son, decided he had to have an iguana. So after a little investigation, i decided to make a project out of making an enclosure for this varmit. I started with several 2x2 pine boards, fastened these together to form a large rectangle. next i bought a roll of wire used to contain chickens, hinse the term chicken wire Smile stapled this all around to completely enclose the frame i had built. I had also framed in and added a door, to allow for maintenance and getting that small dinosaur in and out. As these lizards like to bask to maintain body heat, we added a heat rock and a reptile heat light to the top to simulate sunshine, a large broken off limb from one of my trees for climbing, and also doing some soakin up of rays from the lamp, which he did alot, and Bingo...the new addition had a place to be, that satisfied Mom that she was safe from a TRex attack. My son was happy and we got to spend some quality time together building that cage, which by the way is time you will never regret spending , because your kids grow up and fly away, entirely to quickly, and those memories will last you both a lifetime Smile

Nice try Joey, that was when my son was about 10 or 11 years old we had to use a flat piece of rock and a hammer and chisel to make pics back then like the flintstones Grin bounce

RE: Lizard cage
Jim, your story about your children and their lizard is charming and the DIY here is useful and this is all that is needed.
The silly DIY things I do do not compare.
